Kanati Software Development

At Kanati Software Development, these back office tasks are supported by its own back office system; one that uses Web Based Open Source Technology. This is a system that uses secure e-commerce software; one that processes the clients’ information or data base through data encoding. This back office system keeps records of sales, purchase transactions and performs inventory updates when necessary. Some of the more likely tasks assigned to Kanati Software Development are data encoding reports, creating invoices, keeping receipts and bookkeeping. Internal business functions are also part and parcel of Kanati Software Development’s workload – anywhere from the usual back office tasks (such as billing and / or purchasing); and front office tasks (such as customer-related services such as marketing and tech support.)

Kanati Software Development certainly understands the importance of building and maintaining databases and directories for any company, whether they are business-related, education-related or a web-based research organization. Through a combination of the best streamlined web-based open source technology and a team of brilliant and highly skilled workers, Kanati Software Development manages pertinent information that can ultimately help their clients keep one step ahead from the rest of the pack.

Part of Kanati Software Development’s Data Encoding Services includes:

1.

Web-based data capture service - online data entry, Internet Research, reporting, remote data verification, online data retrieval and / or identification of the specified product or service and adding them to the client’s website database through content management tools.
2.

Catalog and database management – the preparation of online catalogs and creating red flag reports. These are usually done via online data-retrieval, the identification of source URLs, Internet searches, and weeding out irrelevant portions from the clients’ websites or databases.

Moving to Linux

Kanati Inc. now embracing the idea of opensource, but for not techie geek like some of Kanati's employees here, moving to linux used to be a big deal. Contrary for techie guru here said it was cheaper, more reliable, and more flexible. HP, IBM, Novell and Sun Microsystems -- has dispensed with that fear. Supported by integrators and buoyed by ever-improving technology, all kinds of organisations are happily using Linux for a range of mission-critical services.

Of course, there will always be certain applications that just aren't available on Linux: for example, or graphics-intensive tools are likely to prefer Windows. It's important to work out a strategy for keeping the two environments working in synch -- for example, keeping your data in a separate environment, such as a storage area network, neutral file server or platform-agnostic database, which is equally accessible from all platforms.

Linux is no longer unsupportable. It's probably premature for most companies to slowly cut their ties with Windows but lets see what are the benefits of using linux and beside there's no license fee at all.
